The brief

One person makes every candle by hand in Athens. Ready-made pieces sell on Vinted, and custom orders start with a message. The site had to make custom orders easy without pretending to be a big shop.

What I built

  • A bilingual Next.js site in Greek and English, with collections, the maker's story and an FAQ.
  • A custom-order builder (scent, design, colour, vessel) that ends in a message to the maker instead of a checkout.
  • A bridge to Vinted for visitors who arrive from there looking for ready-made candles.

Decisions

  1. 01

    No cart

Every custom candle is a conversation, so the flow ends in a complete brief sent to the maker rather than a payment form. That's less to build and run, and it fits how the maker actually works.

  2. 02

    Two doors, one brand

Ready-made stock stays on Vinted, where it already sells. The site handles everything made to order and points back to Vinted for the rest.

  3. 03

    Warm, not corporate

Lower-case headlines, a soft palette and copy written in the maker's own voice, so the site feels like the product.
